The Florals You Need for Your Wedding

filed in

Are gorgeous flowers your favorite part about weddings too? I love beautiful blooms like peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus in bridal bouquets, table centerpieces, and ceremony arbors. However, florals can add up very quickly if you’re not careful and it’s imperative that you budget for them wisely. Below, I’m sharing the five floral-related items you need for your wedding.

Bridal/Bridesmaids Bouquets, Corsages, & Boutonnières

No explanation needed.

The Ceremony Altar

The altar will be heavily photographed during your wedding, both before the ceremony and during. It’s also seen by every single one of your guests…make it count! There are so many options for altars out there from classic and trendy to religious, such as chuppahs. Pro Tip: Send your wedding florist a picture of both the altar/arch and dimensions if possible. It will help you both in the brainstorming process.

Guestbook Table & Cake Table

Also, highly photographed. Consider a nice arrangement with height for the guestbook table, it will photograph beautifully. As for the cake table, keep things simple and classic with 2-3 bud vases with the blooms you and your wedding florist have selected for your wedding day.

Centerpieces

Selecting beautiful floral centerpieces, your guests will feel welcomed as they enter the reception space. Keep it classic by a single compote vase of your wedding blooms and a few votive candles.

Loose Blooms

Ask your wedding florist to include some loose blooms for your wedding day, your photographer will be able to style them into your details shots/flat lays (ex: portraits of your invitations, shoes, etc.) and your cake artist will need them for the wedding cake.

I hope these suggestions help as you plan and budget for your wedding day blooms!
